Augmentation, uplift and reduction are three different operations, and which one you need is decided at the consultation. Implant size and position are chosen for your frame and your examination, not from a catalogue. Where volume is also missing after an uplift, it is combined with an implant in one operation.

Every operation is performed by Dr. Seckin Oksar in a licensed hospital in Antalya, with a board-certified anaesthetist and one night on the ward. Breast Augmentation

There are no exercises, hormones or other medications which can have any real effect upon the size of a small breast. Surgical correction is possible with a silicone gel or saline-filled implant, inserted behind the pectoralis major muscle in most instances, through a small incision. The texture is practically indistinguishable from normal breast tissue.

The size of the implant is estimated beforehand by trying on preformed sizers at the consultation. Selection is based on your general stature and chest size, and the amount of breast tissue already present — an oversized implant results in poor contour. The primary aim is a soft, natural-looking breast.

Breast uplift

Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)

After one or more pregnancies, most women experience varying degrees of breast sagging and softening. The total volume may remain the same, but the firmness and erect position of youth is lost. An uplift corrects breast position and firmness without a reduction or increase in size.

It is performed through a scar around the areola or, in more severe cases, a keyhole incision with a short vertical scar. Where readjusting the normal tissue alone will not give enough fullness, the uplift is combined with a small implant in the same operation. A bra is worn for four weeks, day and night.

Breast reduction

Breast Reduction

Overly large and pendulous breasts can be as disturbing to a woman as extremely small breasts. Breast pain and shoulder discomfort are common, and extremely large breasts limit participation in sport. The operation reduces breast volume and restores normal contour, moving the nipple to a level consistent with the remaining breast.

The scars sit around the areola, beneath the breast and in a short vertical line joining the two. They are noticeable in the first six to twelve months and fade with time, but do not disappear. The size you prefer is decided with great care at the pre-operative consultation. Breast-feeding after a reduction is generally possible.
